Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of VectorFlow Cloud. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
VectorFlow Cloud(the “Service”) is a hosted control plane for Vector data pipelines: a visual editor, fleet management for self-hosted agents, and observability around pipeline state. The Service is operated by VectorFlow (“VectorFlow,” “we,” “us”) and made available to you (“Customer”, “you”) under these Terms.
Customer log payloads never traverse the Service. The Service stores pipeline configurations, fleet metadata, secret references, and audit logs. See the Trust & Security overview for the data-flow diagram.
2. Account, eligibility, and access
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials, passkeys, and TOTP backup codes confidential, and for activity that occurs under your account.
- You will not share an individual account between humans. Each human who needs access must have their own account; SCIM and OIDC are provided for fleet provisioning of additional users.
- If you sign up on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and the organization is the Customer.
3. Acceptable use
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. Violating the AUP is a material breach of these Terms.
4. Plans and payment
- The Service offers a Free tier and paid tiers; published limits and pricing live at /pricing. We may change pricing for future billing cycles with at least 30 days’ notice to the email address registered with your account.
- Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor. Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
- Usage that exceeds the published limits of your tier may be throttled, queued, or billed at the overage rate published on the pricing page at the time the overage occurred.
- You are responsible for any taxes other than VectorFlow’s own income taxes.
5. Customer data and confidentiality
You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service (“Customer Data”). You grant VectorFlow a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, display, and process Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Service to you, and to comply with applicable law.
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and, for B2B customers requesting a Data Processing Agreement, in the DPA.
6. Service availability and changes
- We target high availability and publish real-time status at status.vectorflow.sh. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability except where a separately-signed Service Level Agreement says otherwise.
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice; for material removals affecting paying customers, at least 90 days’ notice unless the change is required by law or by a security incident.
7. Suspension and termination
- You may close your account at any time from settings. We will retain audit logs and billing records as required by law; other Customer Data is deleted within 30 days of account closure unless you request earlier hard-delete.
- We may suspend or terminate your access on notice if you materially breach these Terms (including the AUP), if your payment fails after reasonable retries, or if continuing service to you would expose us to legal or security risk.
- We may suspend without notice in response to active abuse that threatens the Service or other customers; we will restore access (or terminate with notice) once the immediate risk is contained.
8. Warranties and disclaimers
We provide the Service “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VectorFlow disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. The Service is not a backup mechanism for your operational data; you remain responsible for backups of any data outside the Service.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VectorFlow’s aggregate liability under these Terms (including under any indemnity) is limited to the fees you paid to VectorFlow in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, except for liabilities that cannot be limited by applicable law.
10. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify VectorFlow against any third-party claim arising from (a) Customer Data, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or the AUP, or (c) your violation of applicable law. We will defend and indemnify you against any third-party claim that the Service as provided infringes a valid intellectual-property right of that third party.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction except where you are a consumer entitled to your local courts. Either party may pursue injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The current version number and effective date appear at the top of this page. When the change is material we will notify the email address registered with your account and re-prompt for acceptance the next time you sign in; continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new version. The signup gate hard-binds your acceptance to a specific version (via VF_TERMS_CURRENT_VERSION), so a forced re-acceptance on version bump is structurally guaranteed.
